Introduction to The Moon

We’ll be looking at your Natal/birth moon through each of the twelve signs, twelve houses, and eight phases in upcoming videos, as well as the transiting/current moon in each of those. Later on when we talk about transits in more depth we’ll discuss how the Moon and other planets (the Moon is considered a planet in Astrology) interact with each other (the aspects), as well as how the current planets interact and how the transiting and natal planets play off each other. The Moon in astrology represents our subconscious, our inner self, our emotions, our reactions, our deepest desires. It […]

It makes a full revolution every 29.5 days so it will spend about 2-2.5 days in each sign and the same amount in each of your houses. The sign is the general emotional weather climate for everyone and the house the moon falls in specifically for you will be what area of life most impacted and what you’ll be thinking about. Tiny Lessons: Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

Creativity is a relationship between a human being and the mysteries of inspiration. The Universe buries strange jewels deep inside of us and then stands back to see if we can find them. Mother who wasn’t having a minute of her drama – ‘argue for your limitations and you get to keep them.’ Fear, fame, etc. anything will become boring when you have too much of it. If I relax my fear will relax, so I make space for it. Ideas are seeking to be made manifest, you’ve got to catch them when they come to you. The tormented artist, […]

Introduction to Astrology Charts

Welcome to running astrology charts! This first video will show you the nuts and bolts of how to run several kinds of charts and walks you through what you’re seeing. In upcoming videos I’ll be showing you how to interpret what you’re looking at and what it means for your life! Note: I said clockwise but the signs and the houses both are read counter clockwise, sorry about that! You’ll see the houses start at 1 and proceed counter-clockwise around the circle to 12. Also, Ascendant (sign on the beginning of the first house) and ‘rising sign’ are interchangeable so […]

Seven Deadly Sins Remix – Pride

We’ve come to the final sin and the final way to add some enjoyment (or in this case self-love) to your life. All of the other posts: envy, wrath, gluttony, sloth, lust, and greed. It might just be me, but every time I hear the word pride I immediately think of Keira Knightly and Matthew MacFadyen’s rain-drenched confrontation in Pride and Prejudice. The definition of pride is a high opinion of one’s own dignity, importance, or merit. In the negative biblical sense pride means being too proud to admit fault or ask for help, thinking you are above others, or being so […]

Seven Deadly Sins Remix – Greed

This post is number six in a series on examining these negative biblical traits and coming up with ways to use them for positive inspiration instead. Previously: envy, wrath, gluttony, sloth, and lust. Gordon Gekko summed up a big trend in the 1987 movie Wall Street when he said “greed is good.” Bernie Madoff has since swindled people out of billions of dollars. Celebrity culture, reality shows like My Super Sweet 16, and social media have all created a new material world. Credit card and student loan debt have skyrocketed and there is almost no education to help us figure out how to properly plan […]

Seven Deadly Sins Remix – Lust

This post is number five in a series on taking old school biblical sins and mixing them up to find inspiration for loving our lives more. See the previous posts here: envy, wrath, gluttony, and sloth. I know this is a wildly complicated topic the world over, both how women’s bodies are scrutinized and commodified, as well as the widespread attempts to shame and control women’s sexual desire. I’m doing my damndest to lead my small revolution by learning how to view my body in a positive light and to own my sexuality aside from anyone else’s opinions. I think […]

Seven Deadly Sins Remix – Sloth

This post is number four in a series on flipping these negative traits around and using them to make some small but powerful changes in your life. To see the other posts, click here: envy, wrath, gluttony. We’re not talking about adorable, slow motion animals here, we’re talking the biblical sense. In Christian morality sloth is all about laziness, apathy, and a wasting away due to lack of use. Today we are pulling a 180 and embracing sloth to deeply invest in our own self care. Do you ever look at cats and go, “that’s the life”? Sleeping all day, only […]
